I have been waiting all week for the rain.  Every afternoon this week, the clouds come, gets a little darker and the wind blows the leaves.  Hard enough for the tree branch across the street to fall.  But no rain.  I saw the news yesterday afternoon of the rain storm the North side was getting.  Us, not even a drop.  Just the wind.

You are probably asking yourself why am I reading about the lack of rain.  I am telling you because my flowers are dying.  I don't want to water them if we are getting rain.  Last night while my friend called, I went outside to water my flowers.  Wow!  They look beautiful today.  Tonight I will do the same.

Speaking of yesterday, I had a phone call from a lady in CO.  She asked me if I was "Fit for Life" which made me chuckle.  I am not fit for life.  I then asked her if she knew Marcus Parker but she said no but was looking for him.  Our conversation went something like this:

Me:  Are you looking for Marcus Parker?
CO Lady:  Yes, I am! I want to add him to my business to business.
Me: Let me tell you about him.  He is a scam artist.  Last year during the time, my husband and I were talking about modifying our mortgage and MP called from Wells Fargo concerning refinancing.  So I gave him my husbands info.  The caller ID even showed Wells Fargo.  To make a long short, he did not work for Wells Fargo.
CO Lady: Oh, that doesn't sound like a good thing to happen to anyone.
Me: No it really wasn't.  He is not a good upstanding businessman. If you ever have the opportunity to talk to him, you can have him contact the Fayette County Sheriff's office.
CO Lady: Sounds like a mess you are in.
Me: Can I ask you how you received my phone number?
CO Lady: Sure, it is in yellowpages.com...
Me: Evil laugh- Are you kidding me?  That is why I have been receiving so many calls.
CO Lady: You should call your cell provider and let them know what happened.
Me: That is exactly what I plan to do.  Thank you for your help!

Do you believe that?  My cell phone number is listed as a business number.  I called the cell provider, explained my situation, and requested a new number without a charge.  They obliged and now the mundane task of notifying everyone of my new number.  I have looked on the bright side, I can get rid of everyone I don't want to talk to you...

I am listening to the President of the US telling the people of this great country that the beaches of the Gulf are clean and safe to use.  However, last night, 5 fisherman were rushed to the hospital for respiratory problems .  Oh sure, I will feel comfortable swimming with the oil balls and the whatever else they have pumped into the water.  Just saying!!!!

Happy Thursday!
